JEWELRY CARE
Each piece of our jewelry is crafted with love to be cherished by you. With the right care, it will keep its brilliance for years to come.
How do I take care of my jewelry?
Although we use high-quality materials and craftsmanship, to ensure your jewelry remains stunning, please follow our care instructions for optimal protection and longevity.
Maintaining Shine
Protect the plating of your jewelry by removing it when washing your hands, swimming, exercising, cleaning and before applying any kind of personal body product.
Maintain your jewelry’s shine by avoiding contact with agents such as soaps, perfume, lotion, makeup, hair & cleaning products, etc.
Storing Your Jewelry
Your jewelry should be kept away from any exposure to sunlight or warm places, ideally in a padded jewelry box or tarnish-resistant bag. You can also keep these in individual airtight plastic (polyethylene) bags. Never use rubber containers, as these can result in accelerated tarnishing and are likely to cause the jewelry to darken. Under no circumstances should you keep your jewelry in a bathroom or any humid locations.
Care guides by material
Brass
Plated jewelry involves applying a layer of precious metal, such as gold or rhodium, onto a base metal. At Aurmera, we ensure that all our platings are made with authentic precious metals. Whether it's gold, silver, or rhodium, each coating is meticulously applied to maintain long-lasting beauty.
While our plating is crafted for durability, it's crucial to keep it away from chemicals, moisture, and harsh conditions to maintain your jewelry's quality. If your piece gets wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth or tissue to preserve its pristine condition.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel plated jewelry merges the robust durability of stainless steel with a layer of genuine precious metal for enhanced beauty. At Aurmera, we apply only precious metals like gold or rhodium to our platings, providing a high-quality finish that complements the inherent strength of stainless steel.
A key advantage of stainless steel is its waterproof and naturally tarnish-resistant properties, making it ideal for daily wear. Nonetheless, to keep the precious metal plating looking its best, we advise minimizing exposure to harsh chemicals and excessive moisture, as these can gradually affect the finish. If your jewelry comes into contact with water or chemicals, gently dry it with a soft cloth to maintain its appearance.
Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver is delicate and can be easily damaged if not handled properly. Be sure to remove your jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, or doing household cleaning. Keep it away from soaps, perfumes, lotions, makeup, hair products, and cleaning agents.
When cleaning, gently rub your jewelry in one direction. Avoid using tissue paper or paper towels, as they may cause scratches.
For pure Sterling Silver items, a silver cleaner is suitable, but avoid using it on 18k Yellow Gold Vermeil or 18k Rose Gold Vermeil. To clean the thread of your cord bracelet, wash it occasionally with a soft sponge and mild soap in lukewarm water.
Our jewelry comes with an anti-tarnish coating, but it may fade over time with improper care.
